Engagement: Operational and Financial Performance Review of Solid Waste Collection Services; Financial and Performance Review of Solid Waste Collection, Recycling and Disposal Rates; Preparation of a Report of Disposal Site Information
Description of Services: IntelliWaste performed an Operational and Financial Performance Review of Solid Waste Collection Services for the Amador County Board of Supervisors during 2002-2003. This report quantified and projected the potential valuation of the Buena Vista Landfill (Landfill) project alternatives to the County described in the Staged Environmental Report (SEIR) currently in preparation. The report provided a description of the Buena Vista Landfill financial alternatives, discusses the valuation methodology for each applicable alternative, and presents the results of the potential financial obligations or gains from the alternatives to the ratepayers and the County.IntelliWaste completed a comprehensive financial and performance review of solid waste collection, recycling and disposal rates for the County Board of Supervisors. Tasks included reviewing financial and operational data from two of the County’s franchise haulers and providing an opinion and findings on the reasonableness of each company’s services and proposal to increase rates. Work resulted in the County employing a new rate application process using IntelliWaste recommendations for County specific allocated costs from each company.IntelliWaste also assisted the County in the preparation of a revised Report of Disposal Site Information (RDSI).
